Looking for climbing job in San Diego

Hi all,

I'm leaving the New England area soon and heading to sunny San Diego. I am beginning the treacherous hunt for a job and looking for advice. I would love a job climbing, but am willing to work most positions in tree care (as long as I still get to hug a tree on a daily basis!). I'm preferably looking for a commercial company that has a reputation for quality work and safe practices. I've also been looking into parks, golf courses, municipalities, zoos, and OSHA. Any advice? Anybody know places hiring in the next few months? I don't need the job until June 2012, but I will be in Cali next month, which would be the perfect time to interview.

It might be a good idea to give a little work history and background info on yourself. Since the only thing we can gather from your profile is you turn 25 December 17..
I mention that cause I was born the same day and year! And since we're young we need to establish ourselves. Fellow buzzers from what I gather are the people to ask but nobody is gonna recommend somebody they know nothing about!

Hey Euc, check in with Valleycrest. I know they're hiring in southern OC, but probably in San Diego as well. West Coast Arborists, Urban Tree Care, Green leaf Tree Care are some others. Feel free to check in with the Western Chapter as well (wcisa.net).
