Looking for advice on a bucket truck.

Wayyyy less than $10 grand
Ucf machine shop out of Pa has really good o-ringed heads for the 6.0. Custom valve guides and seats. They even sleeve the injector cups prone to cracking. Reasonably priced. We just traded in our 06 6.0 f350 for the new 6.7. We had a cracked injector cup in the 6.0 and almost dropped $6k to fix everything and run north of 500rwhp.

I still have a 2001 7.3 putting out about 420rwhp. Injectors, tune and turbos mods. It's a tow monster and will literally smoke our new 6.7 off the line...till we delete and tune the 6.7 Spartan tuning has broke 600wrhp on an intake, deletes, and tune.

Hey there bud. Plattsburgh, Since 14 years old and I'm 41 now.

With buckets, the rear mounts are the ticket.
Mid mount elevators with only two out riggers can put some mighty force on the front wheels, I understand capable of damaging drive ways. Local guy around here has a forestry body jobber. He hardly ever chips into it cause he noses up to the trees. His truck also sits empty at the max gvwr 33,000, asphlund truck.

We have 1999 international 4900 dt466 with a 60' rear mount. I climbed for 7 years owner operator before getting a bucket. After three years, it was much faster then I ever imagined. You start cutting and tossing, then start bringing up big saws and make big cuts, cause you can position yourself so perfect to get all the cuts nice. A skilled climber/rigger guy getting in a bucket is magical.

I'll look you up next time I head up that way. I hope to get up there in July. My grandfather is still up there in Malone at 92! He's still sharp as a whip, drives, and hangs with his buddies toasting beers. I love that guy!

So .... the bucket I was after sold before I got a chance to go after it. The hunt continues ....
I,d like to find a rear mounted 75' elevator with a short WB. I'll keep looking ...

Which part of the U.S. are u located? I have an inside contact in the Southeast. I might be able to find you one.
Hey brother. Unfortunately I'm in NY ( I hate this state ), but for the right price I'd be glad to pick up something down there. I plan on migrating to NC as soon as I get shit settled up here. Let me know if you run across something. Thank you!

I had a Terex rear mount scissor. I freaking loved it! I will have to say that going from a 55' to a 60' was a big difference, but going from 60' to 75' was a whole new world! I like the Terex because it is literally at the furthest point in the rear of the truck. I had to up the pressure to the hydraulic tools when it came from the factory, but other than that she was perfect for me. That extra 15 feet came in super handy when we went to New York after Hurricane Sandy-White Plains-Harrison-New Rochelle and everything in between. After Con-Ed was done with us the city of New Rochelle kept us on to remove all the nasty shit their tree crews couldn't handle-Ya'll have some monster trees up there and some shitty traffic......hated driving in that traffic.

I have a choice of the two. One is an 08 and the other an 06, both Internationals with the 466. Both are at 65 grand. I don't remember any specifics. Going to look into them early this week. Thanks for your input on the Terex. Trees around here are rather huge in the valleys. I won't settle for lees than a 75' bucket. Dropping that much coin on a bucket, it better do 90% of all my work.
