Maybe that's his problem, he's just good enough to think he knows enough to judge someone else's work, when he should just keep his mouth shut and try to learn something.

If he had ever tried to make a video, he might understand how difficult it is to present a clear picture of any tree climbing scenario. Once that little light bulb goes off, you tend to give the maker the benefit of the doubt and try to figure why he might have done something his way... like "hey this guy probably had a good reason for doing it that way", rather than assuming you could have done it better your way...

Its more about attitude than how "skilled" a climber is...

That is a classic quote . Plus - You have to understand how hard it is to make a good video to get a clear picture of what is going on , because sometimes what you see on the video is not what really happened ?
Just because you spam youtube and every tree site with videos doesn’t make you a skilled climber either. How about this for a quote “It’s more about bullsh*t than being a skilled climber “ .
Fairfield , to be honest the main thing I got out of that video was , that I’m glad I don’t have to use that saw . If you have the time and energy to go up and down a tree , more power to you , I wasn’t there , the way I think is that once I’m up there , I’m not going down to go back up to do the same thing in the same tree . The only good thing coming from BLS is that young climbers have to go to the very top , where the work is , no lazy climbing . Get up there
 
I was frankly thinking that the second ascent was purely for the sake of putting it on video, but who is really to say for sure?

I know just enough to be a danger to myself and all those around me! :-)

Total BS... wtf can you tell from watching a video... not much... you think you know more about the tree's health than the guy that climbed it? and then question his climbing decisions... He's obviously got the rope walker system down pat, so its plenty easy to make two ascents... what can you tell about the traverse from the vid.. not much.. have we ever seen a vid of you climbing???? do you have anything to show us besides you big mouth?

I would say he is a pretty good climber, it's just hard sometimes to tell
much from watching a video.
