Why did this Tree meet its demise if you don't mind me asking?
No one wanted this tree removed. Many tests were taken but all you needed was a visual on the tree where you could see complety through the trunk at various heights. I took a pic of the ground level cut but cant find it. This really gives justification for its sad demise

Here's one that was brought to my attention over a busy and parking lot. I'm trying to keep it going from a sad demise. What were some of the many tests that were performed on the Tree you posted?

Picus, resistograph, soil analyst, visual, advice from cabling experts.
This tree had been earmarked for removal years ago but all was done to save it.
Looks like your tree will end up the same way

Treetop I really don't get why people are so adamant about saving trees with obvious defects. Every tree will fail eventually so you are just prolonging the inevitable and endangering targets around the tree. I personally tell them to take them down so as not to be exposed to litigation. I am very adverse to lawyers though.

I guess we just look at things differently, I'm cool with it. Nor am I worried about this particular Tree. Failing at the hollow in PIC. So we can do things to mitigate hazard and retain the Tree in this particular situation.I've made more money from trees saved and get to prune and inspect more regularly, than Even the biggest of removals. Maybe not all in one payday, but nonetheless more overall. Even if I'm prolonging the inevitable. Not saying I haven't recommended removal on something that may look alot better shape compared to Tree I posted..hard to figure ya know .perectly healthy looking trees can fail too. I know.. I know

Sjm don't you just love those Grabiq chains!!!
Is that what their called? That Is all I have used doing crane work but they work fine and are easy to work with. The only downfall is the steel can stain your hands black when you get a sweat up
