Check out video I posted got a lot of grapple action in it. I use my grapple truck every day. I purchased mine before I bought my bucket truck. Its worth its weight in gold. Saves you tons of time. I use mine to pick up small to medium size trees. Attach a porta-wrap to end use it to help u pull brush , spars, or extra muscle to pull over a whole tree. chipper goes down, no problem, only one guy shows up on monday who cares. Good luck be safe

Just curious...wouldn't one prefer the kboom between the bed and a dump body to expedite unloading? I would hate to have to pick all that out to unload at the end of the day or before work the next day.

Thanks for the info! I am looking to buy my first grapple truck, unfort. I can't afford this one....I figured I would want a dump bed? My budget is a lot less but anymore info is greatly appr!

I bought a nice 23 foot dump bed with a sleeper cab that is just perfect to take off and put on a kboom. I too want a dump bed with the knuckle.

That sure is a beautiful truck tho.

I park my equipment at a busy tree waste facility so I get to watch lots of companies operate. I haven't seen a grapple truck use their dump bed. Everyone finds it faster to simply use the loader to remove the waste from the bed. Plus the rear mount grapple truck is much more useful IMO for residential tree care.

Agreed, any boom truck or bucket in a rear mount will be more useful, but to open the gate and dump as opposed to setting riggers, and have multiple movements (picks) and then pull rigs after climbing up there and back down....seems a no brainer the dump is quicker....esp. if you are disposing of stuff. If you are staging logs for a mill or firewood op....nod likely goes to the no dumping I suppose.

I guess this discussion started from a point I missed. If using knuckle boom folded up behind the cab instead of a prentice type loader then yes that would be quicker.
