lightweights

I would find the biggest guys on here and figure out what hitch they are using, and I would test those options no wrench… it if is gonna work it would only work for the very lightest of guys.

if someone has a picture of the "jump hitch" they could share???? I would think if a hitch would work it would look something like this.

keep a very close eye on heat damage even if you get it mechanically heat is a big issue, it has to go somewhere and ropes and hitches do no conduct it very well at all, so it just builds on the surface.

please keep us posted. I am very interested in this kind of thing,

I can't be bothered to tend my tail or do anything else extraneous to make this work

If you want to keep things simple, I would strongly recommend you try the HH. It works on a completely different principle than either the RW or the Uni or any other SRWP tool. It does not bend or alter the direction of the climbing line in any way, so in use, it feels the same at 10' off the ground as it does at 100'.

Changes in rope types will affect how your hitch performs but once that is determined and working all is good. The HH works by assisting the hitch; so the more the hitch grabs, the more the HH grabs. The reverse is also true. This is the reason it can go from SRWP to DdRT with no changes of configuration.

I am with David on this one. The HH does not care what hitch is above it or how many wraps. As long as it grips enoght to pull the dog bone up as your weight goes down.

Of course neither does the RW, but the hitch engages the HH, not just the downward pressure of the climber as with the RW.

Of course if you are so light the HH holdS you in place without hitch, then I refer to my earlier suggestion, hamburgers and beer and maybe ice cream... lots and maybe a few rocks in your pocket!

As Oceans mentioned I'm verified to weigh nothing and I cannot descend SRT on a hitch, it grabs just as hard as it does for anyone certified to weigh something. I've never had trouble getting the wrench going on descent at any height but that's with Tachyon or 10mm HTP haven't tried the 11mm Kernmaster with a wrench. Might be worth trying out a ZK-2 and see if you have the same problem, the sheave may make a difference for you. GP, PM me your address and I'll send you a HH to try out.

thanks Moss.

I can now sleep tonight! seriously though thanks,
I have always wondered…… maybe if I just laid off the Oreo's…

I always found the zk2 to give me more friction but I will have to try it with the kernmaster to see.

With the 10mm HTP I am rocking and rolling also, it's a huge difference from the 11mm Kernmaster.

Cant wait to try a HH!
