Seems like I saw a recent discussion about the latest and greatest but I can find it. Searching keeps giving me threads from years ago. I’ve been using Sena sm10 and need something that will hook up with those but I really don’t like how they bump out and are such a pain in the ass to get everybody hooked up so I’d like to upgrade mine to something better that still hooks up with the 10’s and later start replacing the rest of the crews. I wasn’t paying attention in the last discussion but seems like someone said the mesh had some problems or annoying features?

That doesn’t protect the button from being bumped, it just keeps you from knocking the unit off your head altogether.

I did, but they have never sold very well. Unfortunately doesn’t seem there’s a lot of demand for them with all the newer comm systems on the market.

That’s too bad. It’s a good idea. So everybody that’s running the sena’s, go buy Reach’s Bump Cap.

At the beginning of the year I started switching my crews from SMH10’s to Sena 30K’s. The 30K’s have the mesh connection, so there isn’t the issues with pairing like with the SMH10’s, but will still connect to them via Bluetooth if needed. An added benefit is that there is a dedicated Bluetooth button on the side of the unit, which makes the ‘bumping out’ issue nonexistent.

We upgraded to 30ks this year too. They are an improvement over smh10. Not perfect but better.

That’s great. Thanks guys, I’ll get a 30k to get me back in the loop and upgrade everyone else later. My 10 took a 50’ flight after I bumped out and couldn’t re connect. It didn’t fare too well

The mesh is really easy

Mesh is the way to go. We primarily use the Sena Mesh Expand, keeping a few in each truck and the Manitou.
