Large pin oak, small backyard

Location
LI, NY
Here is a removal of a fat pin oak, in a tiny back yard. At first Cosby uses the bucket to clear the tips of the lower branches from over the garage and roof, to make rigging easier. Had good weather until the last day when cutting and picking the wood out, so clean up was harder!

I used a snipe on the trunk fell to minimize bounce, worked a treat.

I have to say Ben I love those pictures because that is how we do treework on this island. Space is always limited. We don't have lifting equipment so the work can be tedious. Nice job.

GRCS I wish! Just balanced rigging, some smaller pieces... Maybe 8 foot logs. We were using a brand new Stein RC2000 on the job though, my groundsman loved it!

Rip cuts for control to stop massive swinging towards targets. Old school and very efficient! Balance depended on the piece in correlation to the rigging point, some butt, some middle, some top roped. I'm unable to divulge pricing on an open forum, for I am not the boss. :)
