Did a flare cut, worked great considering it really only had good flare on the one side !

My wood guy didn't have his dump today so bit of a pain loading it!

Stumps gone and all are happy !!! Aside from the city showing up grumbling we drove the crane over their side walk( we had mats and plywood on them ) went like clock work! 2 loads of chips, 2 stake trucks and 2 dump trailers of wood.

Nice work, crane looks nice too.
Thanks, yes they did a great job on the paint! Still has to get it lettered up and a few other things back together. I guess the one neighbour didn't like the noise of the Morbark, called by-law on us ! They showed up, looked and left ! I prefer rural work! Less idiots with nothing else better to do like the chumps that complained !

Ya I hate those kinda neighbours, had one a couple of years ago call bylaw on me, gave me a parking ticket before we realized he was there, apparently you can't park within 10' of a driveway within the city limits. Kinda tough when your truck+trailer is 70' long and you park in the largest spot in the neighbourhood that's still only 80' between driveways.

Around 6500, we were playing it safe on the trunk picks which we did in 2 picks, top half was 3800lbs and the last pick was 4600 ish. The crown picks heaviest one was only 3200. The wind picked up pretty good after the 3rd pick, kept us on our toes.

Its smart to play it safe. Those picks are still really good size pieces to work with. I find that more smaller picks, are actually faster for my ground guys to process. Nice Job!

Big wood and a sharp looking crane; good stuff!
Working on level terrain (no uphill slugging) and probably no mosquitos either...some guys get all the breaks!

Hey Devon - I done three quotations for crane removals in the last six weeks (usually it is one per three year period!)...two are tire kickers, but hoping the third one is for real, and if so, Larry will be The Man!

Is this the same Rusty Relic we've seen in all your other (recent) crane posts? Wow, paint job came out nice! Any idea what that cost? Lots of masking, angles, interior corners, etc, etc. $$$$$

You bet Jeff! Not sure of the cost, but it took roughly 3 weeks after my operator stripped everything down on it, he got all the cylinders rebuilt or replaced before paint also so I imagine it was a good chunk of change ! I'll post more pics when he has it all decaled up and his name back on it.

Can't wait til you and I get to slay some trees together. I swear this is the only job in the world where I would wish I wasn't at the cottage when I get a contract call.
