Lac Balsam

Here is a recent picture of the trunk wound that I treated. I took this picture last week. The first pictures taken at the time of treatment were about 2 years ago.

No cracking in 2 years without reapplying. Good deal--facing north?

1. Cracking is stopped

2. Infection court is smaller

3. Tree devotes resources to smaller area and can codit it better.

Makes sense.

BostonBull,
I can't say for sure how much can be attributed to the lac balsam. It is a white ash growing in a very wide tree lawn. There is irrigation on the property so the tree does not suffer from drought stress.

Guy,
The wound on the tree faces west.

Did I mention that the wound was caused by a car crashing into it. This is the tree that stopped the car, the tree next to it, also a white ash but a few dbh " 's smaller, was damaged similarly.
