knotless rigging

Thanx, all ways hated that grammer chit!

i maid this drawing this mourn. To show some of the principals of forces it evolved away from tree work a bit; more of a shipping dock perspective. But still, the same forces in the same materials; it is all knotting and rigging/ rope machines by any other name or working art/ discipline.

And by the same token... i maintain that to understand the mystery of forces inside the microcosm of a knot; we can look to riggings for an expanded/ knots under a microscope view. For it is the same forces, in the same materials etc.

Orrrrrrrrrrrrr something like that....

I forgot to add; when I had the spliced loops tested, I also had 3 knotted loops tested. They were tied into loop form using a stationary bowline. Same amount of rope in both the spliced and knotted loops. The knotted loops broke at 3,500 lbs. vs the 10,000 for spliced. All the knotted loops broke at the 'horseshoe' in the knot. I thought the results were very interesting.
