what is the recommended amount of wraps.

Four I think. I know guys that only use 3 though. I think it depends on your weight. Obviously if it holds you up when you sit on it, its good. Low and slow.

You need to have atleast six coils on a doubled line. It could be more depending on the cordage for your prussik and your climbing line and the weight of the climber.

I use three raps and it works great for my weight. I use this mostly for when I srt.

I use three wraps when the rope is doubled over. holds my weight great.
