Looks great. Where do the muffs stow?

I almost ran out and bought one soon as they became available. I really like the face shield since I don't wear safety glasses (I know I really should). I'm glad I decided to wait it seems like it will take a few generations for all the problems to be solved.

Nasty stenches
ear muff issues
foam crumbling
sticky face shield

are all fairly big x's on the con side of the list for me.

Don't forget hot!

I believe Kask rushed getting these out. They charged a primium and put out a "so so" product.

I don't think I'd have too much of a beef with the helmet, if I could acutally wear my muffs.

Why couldn't they make the mounts integrated into the helmet, like Petzl did?

I really like how this helmet comes down the back of the head, protecting the back of the skull.

I've always thought that a climbers helmet should wrap around the whole head and not just sit on top, protecting straight from above.

Now, if that one had a clear visor that was approved, and you could fold back your ear protection for talking and was shaped like that, it would be a real winner. Well, and the little things like bolts not falling out, foam or other materials not falling apart, not stink terribly and the visor isn't sticky.

Don't get too excited, it will be a while. I hope it's worth the wait. Family business... I like that part a lot.

Hey guys here is an update on the foam situation.

KASK America is trying to square away a few issues and this is one of them.

They are now saying that the shipment of improved helmets will be arriving in mid November. Like many things which come from overseas... delays and postponements are common (and frustrating).

If you have experienced a problem KASK will replace your helmet from their current inventory. (Although it may make more sense to wait for the improved version).

If you have experienced a problem I highly recommend contacting your retailer or Kask or both.
