Hey, been a wee while since I posted on here but I was after some advice.

Is there any option for us in arb to move out to the states on a work visa?

Sponsorship etc.

My dad was a US citizen and I have a lot of family out there. Maine based. Dad lived out there before he passed.

What’s the chances of being able to get visas etc in this situation.

I would imagine getting a work visa. I would not be all that difficult, but I am not certain. I do not know anyone who has ever tried such a thing.

If you found a company that was interested in hiring you, it seems that it probably wouldn’t be terribly difficult, especially if you come with some higher level skills and certifications.

Thanks man, I’m hoping that would be the case. I’ve a decent amount of certs and best part of twenty years experience, management experience as well as on the tools.

The best arborcultural outfits of size near Maine are in Massachusetts- I'd reach out to Harrison-Mcfee, as I think Scott Mcfee is a really good manager and passionate about the industry and professionalism. Northeast Shade Tree in Porsmouth NH area is also does legit work.

There are a few companies in the Rockland ME area that have nice gear but I can't speak to their work quality or management. Also Fox Forestry near Bucksport does interesting work, but/and the owner has a big personality
