Jeez that didn't take long

Unwashed bathrobe? High thread count used sheets with Bigfoot fir felted in key locations? Likely we will never know..
perhaps it was a MCRS?

So tempting, It was a 300’ of Yale Kernmaster. all polyester. I wanted it, but I still got too much Christmas shopping to be buying more rope.
I’ll not mention the price, I’ll save you all the pain of kicking yourselves.

MCRS? GOD NO!
I got a super bro deal on a spool of all poly Kernmaster, so I took 300ft hank of it and pimped the remainder

For those interested the all poly Kernmaster is static like a mofo with no detectable bounce or stretch. It reminds me of my beloved HTP in that regard, but has a nice soft hand for a rope this static. The jacket is super tight and smooth, and it is bomber on the Wrench and HH2. Also works flawlessly with my footies and knee ascender. It is listed as 11 mm, but it is definitely on the smaller side of the other 11mm ropes I have worked with. Those with big or busted up hands might wanna look elsewhere, as well as those looking for super multi-colored bling because this rope is old school plain jane. Can't speak to its toughness, durability, or longevity as I have not had it very long. All in all a super nice static line with a great hand that works flawlessly with my go-to devices. Glad to have it in the quiver...

Glad it wasn't a hh2. Been putting my pennies in to rigging gear recently, but I would have been upset if I had missed a hh2.

I have a hank of the bouncy stuff sitting in the tool box. I agree on the positives. For me it’s too thin, bouncy, and fragile. Yes the cover is THIN and hates anything that resembles a natural crotch. While ascenders love the rope the rope doesn’t like ascenders

This is the rope we are talking about...As I said I haven't had a lot of chances to climb on it yet. A couple small removals, and I did use it (along with my new shiny TM S .Light) on a broad band antenna install in a 190 footer yesterday morning. 160ft-165ft rope walker accent was smooth as glass with almost no bounce. Knots were extremely easy to tie for a static line, and held perfectly. Ride to the ground was super smooth and responsive.....As I said a very nice rope and a good contender for those who like running 11mm.....Time will tell whether it holds up or not?

I’ve been very happy with mine. A slip with the foot ascender will definitely leave a mark, and natty fork ddrt will glaze it, but it performs so well in its element that I’m okay with narrowing its use.

I bought and then sold that kernmaster right away. I agree it worked with the rw but it hated any kind of mechanical multicenders. I tried the cbdb, rr, and akimbo.

I could see it working pretty well for a lighter climber on the Runner, but forget about it on the Bone or the Akimbo...Fucking scary.

Well shit. I just ordered 300’ to use with my akimbo.
My experience with the akimbo was pretty brief so ya' might be OK? I did try it on some Edelrid 11mm static which was on the small side, and it was a no go..
The adjustable Bone? No way. I couldn't get it to hold my narrow ass with 11mm HTP, which is quite a bit bigger than the static Kernmaster. The bone/kernmaster combo bring visions of a free fall from 150 ft? No thanks....
