ISO pic of XT hitch

I tried the XT, and wanted to like it, but felt it was a bit too much like the VT which I feel is too sloppy (to each his/her own, eh?)

I still use the Michoacan, mainly with Beeline hitch cord. Sometimes on long burns down from setting slings off the crane hook (I use Bail Out for this) it can lock up a little tight if you don't keep a hand on it just right, but it can be tied with almost no slop in it and most of the time works smoothly, and grabs quickly-yet-predictably.

Depending on the rope I am using anywhere from four to six wraps and a shorter length of hitch cord which takes some work to get it on the carabiner with the Hitchclimber. Once I set it with my weight it loosens up a little, and is very responsive.
