ISO better splitter

Looking for a good splitter with a log lift. Easton made is a bit too expensive as is timberwolf. Unless I can find a used one( I saw Gray Squirrels. may be too late though) I have issues with my lower back and cant pick up the bigger rounds anymore. Looking for a minimum of log lift and 4/6 way wedge, some speed improvement over my old Huskee would be great ( I bought it 16 years ago and it literally blew up this fall after years of very heavy use by many hands) I was eyeing the Wolfe Ridge 28pro at 5k, but it looks a bit slow, could sacrifice speed, but are there others out there I havent found??

Rugged made has a lift but only 4 way wedge. They are a more economic splitter, maybe not as HD as you need.

Eastonmade appears to be one of the highest quality that I’ve seen from browsing online. Serviceable wear points and high quality hydraulics, quick cycle times. I’ve never used one. I have a Timberwolf TW-7 but I’m not really looking to sell right now.

Yeah, the Easton made ones look great as do TW, but pricey. I definitely don't want cheaply made. The Tractor supply made Huskee brand I had did last 15 years. Which given the use it had is pretty is pretty impressive. I'd lend it out to several people an they'd never cover it. Leave them extended, use low grade fuel, just no care for it. Well the next one. Nobody borrows, or they rent me and the machine out

Yup !
I am not a professional arborist, but if someone want's to use my gas equipment, I generally volunteer to use it with them .................... My gas, and me on the throttle.
Chainsaws, splitter, leaf blowers, tractor, etc.

My father had a saying: "If you borrow it; return it in better condition."

Thata the worst part. Almost everyone I let borrow it. Normally has same philosophy. Only one person was excellent with it. They changed oil and hydro filter and oil, kept it covered. I was just too nice. Now that I'm likely spending 5k...forget it

A local Amish metal shop here makes one that I believe is better than any other we’ve ever seen; it’s reasonably priced and pretty much bombproof, or at least my crews never managed to hurt ours. You can find it here: http://www.mighty-ox.com/

I've seen the Ox ones, slow, 14 second cycle time, wow as expensive as Eastonmade for the log lift model. They might very well be durable though. But out of my range and too slow. thank you though.

The coolest system I've personally come across so far are the Powersplit single and double units. They're super simple and seemingly overpriced, but fun to look at! They have a built in conveyor and hydraulic powered wheels/steering to move them around a firewood lot.
