ISA Minneapolis news

Wow, what a fun thread to see. Thanks for the pics gang! It was a great time and I am needing to get back on track with "normal" life again! This thread was too much fun to stop reading.

What a nice treat to meet some fellow Treebuzzers! GiGi was awesome (VHarrison), ChuckR, Cody, SirTreeRat, and so on! It was maybe the best part of the trip. That and seeing so many old friends too! I hope you all go to TCI Expo!

Congrats to Beddes and Elaina! 2006 Champions.

Great pics! Thanks for posting

Now that's a nice aerial setup! Maybe next year our chapter will hang the dummy more like this. I also like to see the access line being placed in a sensible location.

So, which one of you early arrivals tried out this device, located in the bus shelters?

Many thanks to all of you for our great time together.

The Minneapolitans were good hosts. The Park Board guys were helpful, and even asked if they could have done more.

That is so funny! I grew up in Florida and live in the southern most part of Florida and have NEVER been in heat over 98. Thank goodness for the breeze this weekend and the Stihl water. They gave away a pallet and 1/2 of water!!

Jim, I saw you walk by the Brits Pub on Friday night, but never got to meet you. Wish I had. ( you look nothing like your brother! yall twins?!!)

Hats off to Tom! He's a great mentor. Its all in the genes, but Arborwear just complements it.

Thank you. I think there was maximum impact when I sat next to Steven Chisholm at Rules Committee and did the same thing so many of y'all did: "Are you...?" while looking down at the name tag. He reciprocated in the same manner.

Here's the former Women's ITCC champs.

Left to right:
Wenda Li - 2002
Kiah Martin - 2003
Kathy Holzer - 2004
Chrissy Spence, 2005

This year the Women's Masters Challenge had three competitors as a result of 18 chapter representatives. Take a little time to calculate back how many more women this means participating at the chapter levels.

yeah, schweet! so cool to see the numbers going up. i knew i wasn't the only woman out there climbin' trees..

can't wait until the competition in the women's division gets as tight as the men's division, with skills to match.

thanks to jim and all the other judges and techs in minneapolis. the climbers get all the attention, but we couldn't do a thing w/o the army of volunteers who put the thing on. much appreciated!
k.

Kathy,
Congats on this years placing, it was a joy to watch you & all the women who competed, can't wait to see you climb in Hawaii, aloha.
Good luck to you, climb safe. /forum/images/graemlins/applaudit.gif

All you guys and gals (especially you Kathy) who competed are a true inspiration to me in your tree skills, and it looks like everyone had a great time.

I hope to one day see one of these events live. Looks like one big happy family.
