is the T.M. the right choice?

I've only had mine for about 2 months, but I haven't had any issues with adjustments creeping. The waist I would actually say is a PITA to adjust.

The bungee stuff breaks like crazy and I'm not crazy about it. I have 3 kong paddle biners on mine (where caritools usually go) and keep stuff clipped on those rather than bungees. I like that I can push the paddle biners flat when they're not in use. I tend to snag caritools a lot.

All that being said, this thing is sweet. I have no regrets about getting it but I'd still like to fly in a sequoia just to try it out.

Adam, take my word, the TM is way more comfy than a sequoia and I have had enough time in both to say this....I liked the sequoia until I really spent many hours in the TM....my TM fits me like a glove and is way tough...

I went from a sequioa to a TM. Took some time to adjust to it. Initially I border line regretted getting it at all. Now a year later and the sequioa is nothing but a memory. Still have it as a backup, but it feels horribly uncomfortable now.

TM all the way.

No sequoia on a hot day? I heard that it breathes great and I sweat enough to be mistaken for a waterfall..

Of course hot days are a relative thing.. I doubt I'd last long on an actual hot Barbados day doing any kind of tree work. ;)

I'm not going to get one, just wanna go fly in one. Unless I grow wings I'll be sticking with the TM for work indefinitely.

I hope it was 'dry heat'. I've been loving this sub-freezing weather up here in the NorthEast. Once you get going it's all good. I just can't escape the heat. My hat's off to ya', bro!

Ive never really figured that whole dry heat thing lol,but I think it means a lower humidity.its high here alot of the time, but real hot regardless.Ive had guys from arizona wine about our heat.In fact I was with a bunch of african dudes from sudan playing basketball with me in July. After 10 minutes they where all under a shade tree.I was still playing and laughing at them-I was like dudes yall are from africa and the said its a different kind of heat in texas, funny I like it when the weather man says its gonna be 105 but feel more like 115,that just doesnt make sense to me.Or its gonna be 20 but the wind chill is -10.ha ha

Wow. Sudan-ese dudes in the Texas shade while you're shooting J's.

I gotta say, it takes me a while to adjust to Summer up here. The humidity just does me in. Tania's from Denver, where it gets much colder, but just doesn't feel that way due to the lower humidity out there. Our high humidity makes the heat hotter and the cold colder.

You must be super acclimated, but I gotta ask...do you drink water like mad in the heat, or can you just play along like normal?

Derail over...I LOVE my treeMOTION saddle. I also LOVE it.

I should drink alot more water,i have a buddy who calls me a Camel.

I really like my Tree Motion too and hardly ever have to mess with it.I think I used to tear the the bungee stuff when I was younger and more reckless but havent had any issues in years.

The sequoia is definitely cooler in the back pad, but hey the TM makes up for that in the leg pad comfort...I don't even notice the difference heat wise...here it's hot and that's a given I am used to it...no biggie I love the heat...would have to get used to the cold again...to me the biggest plus with the TM is the lower D's and being able to suspend from them with my lanyard, it's just sooo comfy...like Jimmy I never have to adjust mine never....

I stitched mine into place. It's funny that the stitching reminds me of the Double Braid stitching post in 'The Splice Rack'. The saddle comes out of adjustment under no load...like when it's kicking around in the bag, or while you're stepping into it.

I will just about defy someone to change the TM adjustment one way or another while it's being worn. I hung a 660 off it yesterday and it stayed right in place.

I can attest to it not moving while weighted, but the webbing does stretch a bit when new.

I can't leave mine in one spot, warm weather working and cold weather working dictate different clothes, hence different adjustments.

I'm not crazy about caritools anymore either. I used to be a fan until I got tired of them snagging branches in thick canopies.

I have kong paddle biners in the caritool spots, with some of those rubber band keepers on the bottom of the spine side.

The keepers give them enough friction that you can index the biners or push them flat and they'll stay in position.

Caritools are sweet and I have never broken one, something might hook in once in a while but I move like a jaguar in a tree

, so not very often does this happen...everyone won't like them that's a given but you should still try one I prefer the small....sometimes yo gotta bite the bullet and try something this won't break the bank...I like that it stays put and opens and closes nicely...
