Is crane work safer....than?

Many picks from the tops of even healthy trees need to be strapped at a place that is above any reasonable canopy anchor tie in. Asking a climber to go above a canopy anchor to set a crane strap high enough that it will be butt heavy is unsafe. An internal document on canopy anchor selection could help you here.

I mean it depends on what you compare to a crane really. It's the same with comparing a bus with an airplane in a way. Same as an airplane a crane is a really sophisticated piece of machine that requires perfection and attention to detail. As you can understand it really comes down to who is bringing and installing that crane as I know numerous companies that don't have the required know how to justify the safety licenses they own.
