Introduction

Hi all,

I am a new member here, but an old acquaintance to many from the AS circus. Here is a quick introduction for those that do not know me.

I am a forest owner/manager, occasional low impact logger and in my spare time I am currently looking at the viability of small scale milling/drying and processing of FSC logs. Our forest is a mixed species mixed age second growth stand located in the coast range outside Portland Oregon. It is certified under both the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the American Tree Farm System (ATFS). I retired, from my day job, almost a year ago after working 22 years in high tech as an integrated circuit design engineer/manager and part time computer guru. Now I try to spend every nice day working in the forest.

Well that is enough for now.

Take care,

Cary

Don't be a stranger here, Cary.

If there were a spectrum with loggers on one end and arbos on the other, Cary is someone who's connection to trees and their environment puts him on the end closer to the arbos. He's one who can see the trees in the forest just like arbos in the urban forest.

We'll all benefit from his contributions.
