Sit-stand is not as effective as rope-walking. I don't really pull down with RWing, just hold myself in, as much as possible.
Are MBs for sit-stand?
DIY MB's was how I used to climb before I got my SAKA and MiniSAKA last year, and built my power ascender. I had taken a couple of hand ascenders that had bottom holes for a biner and ran 1/2 inch all thread through the holes, with 4-inch pieces of 1/2-inch sch40 aluminium pipe on each side, nyloc nuts holding it all together. Some bungee held the lower one on my feet so it advanced when I drew my legs up. Worked OK I guess but, like you said, just not as efficient or as fast as rope walking. And the things were sort of clunky hanging off my saddle when I finished with them and was limb walking or moving around.Sit-stand is not as effective as rope-walking.
