Introducing the Wrist Rocket Ascender.

Quote from one of our own,

Richard,
Probably not an intended use, but I have a pole pruner with two pulleys so the amount of cord you have to pull to get a cut sometimes seems like a lot - so I've turned to the wrist rocket on the pole pruner cord to save my hands a bit at the end of a long day - tugging on the cord is a pain even if you wrap the cord around your hand or I have a wooden dowel I run up the cord but the wrist rocket works better and with less fuss - and even on icy gooped up rope! Maybe that's a use you could advertise for the thing and sell a few more. I think it works peachy.
Have a great weekend,
Ed from Calgary

Has anyone ever seen or produced a handled ascender that would be like a shorter version of a pull up bar? Basically a straight bar that is horizontal with the ascender/ascenders in the middle moving vertical up the rope. Just brainstorming

Sit-stand is not as effective as rope-walking. I don't really pull down with RWing, just hold myself in, as much as possible.

Are MBs for sit-stand?
DIY MB's was how I used to climb before I got my SAKA and MiniSAKA last year, and built my power ascender. I had taken a couple of hand ascenders that had bottom holes for a biner and ran 1/2 inch all thread through the holes, with 4-inch pieces of 1/2-inch sch40 aluminium pipe on each side, nyloc nuts holding it all together. Some bungee held the lower one on my feet so it advanced when I drew my legs up. Worked OK I guess but, like you said, just not as efficient or as fast as rope walking. And the things were sort of clunky hanging off my saddle when I finished with them and was limb walking or moving around.
