International Tree Failure Database

Jim,
I agree that the website is dated. I don't know if anyone has updated it in years. I've spoken to Dr. Hendrickson from Bartlett labs and he said there isn't much interest in it however I was thinking that arboreta and public gardens could really be at the forefront of collecting data for research. I'd like to see if enough people can get together to make this training worthwhile.

TreeGazer,
what was the training like? I've looked at some of the forms and saw the data they asked to collect. What were the circumstances that led you get trained and why haven't you contributed?

I learned the basics at an ISA seminar in TX a few years ago. I've entered a few trees but I rarely think about it and when I do I can't remember how to log in.

I should look into it again, as I have been seeing a few broken branches almost every week this summer.
