if you are bored and want something to watch, worth a couple of laughs

TreeLogic, you feel you want to defend the names I mentioned above, that's ok.

The simple fact remains that August, Bix, X man, Schultz, Reg and Murph have not created a better video than this one, that's my opinion and I'm right.

.
TC, you called them by name so you obviously got something to prove. What is it? Just say it.

it was a great short documentary of that guy's life in treework. I used their names because they're the main guys who post vids here and none of their vids have been as watchable as that one.

Well instead of trying to piss off a bunch of guys one by one why not say you like it better than others. Besides, that dude makes movies for a living, our guys do something respectful for a living.

it's called diversity of opinion, Treebuzz has always welcomed a diverse and broad range of opinions. We even welcome yours despite the fact they are nearly always wrong.

Oh Tim  ... I know you like to poke at us video guys, but I've never found any point to compare apples to oranges... maybe you have?

The documentary style of the video posted was great, it inspires me to create a video with similar style for clients to watch, and to appeal a little more to critics like you, Grover ;). Looks like I would need some different equipment on hand (cameras ect...) to get that style going- GoPro's probably won't cut it. I do always appreciate your feedback btw...

TreeLogic, thanks for having our back, I think your opinions are just fine:cool:.

was this video supposed to be inspirational, or warm and fuzzy or what's the point? Not the worse video I've seen but it left me asking why he made it in the first place?

Are there many other isa ca that don't do the big trees anymore, like the 40 footers?

Lots of heart, great guy, but he doesnt have it for big trees

If he just sticks with the small trees mabey...

Jeez. I feel bad critiquing him, but I think I figured out why he gaffed out at the beginning.

He put his spurs on backwards at 3:00.

thanks for support TreeLogic. TC is cool with me too. I thought it was funny and I was happy to be in the list with those other guys.

Maybe someone who lives near him could reach out to him and try to help him out with some safety. I know Scotty Olsen reached out to someone with some poor practices and had a very positive outcome! The knowledge and experience we have is lost when we are gone if we don't share it with those that will remain after us.

Great watch, funny, sad, exciting and scary. How could you not love Howie. It is because of all these videos and my passion for arboriculture (albeit late), I am the climber I am today. I have to shout out to, Daniel from climbing arborist.com you were my internet introduction and learned a lot. Reg, your very methodical in your work and seem to have infinite knowledge (sardines are a a great brain food ;)). August H. your badass, Bix your like Bruce Lee of the trees, R. Mumford inventor extraordinaire, X (ring) man, it was nice to see you petting your kitty :), Eric Frei, D Murphy great pointers, and of course arborpod. I could go on . Anyway because of all ya'll I don't climb like Howie. There may be signs of autism or something, but if he's as old as I think he is, one could only hope to look and feel like he does at his age.

Interesting comments. Its a very watchable video for a variety of reasons. I have a soft spot for the old school guys. On one hand he seems completely aware that his practices are border line and yet he continues to do them. No doubt he is tough as nails and probably a very nice guy. I would have a beer with him and climb some trees with him any day. You can teach an old dog new tricks it just takes being friendly and being persistent.
