Here's another cell/mobile phone hint.

Make an entry into your phone directory named ICE

EMTs/emergency workers are trained to look for the entry for personal emergency contacts. If you are unconscious it would help them contact your next of kin for assistance.

Don't make a separate entry called ICE. Making a separate ICE entry means that you have the number twice in your cell phone. This way your phone can't recognize the caller and will not 'tell' you who is on the other end.

In my phone I just added ICE and a number in front of the names of my ICE persons.

Why do you need a number in front of the names of the ICE persons? And what number is it? Their phone number?

Hi

KNOW that should you have a key lock or a lock on your phone in any shape or form this might not work. I have a unlock code that if you do not unlock the phone you can not get to the address book The phone should be turned on and not locked.

EACH service is different as is how each person sets this up.

I put people like my wife & mom in by those names - wife & mom. Dads that way too.

Id hope someone would be smart enough to figure out just WHO those people are.

The persons are listed as:

ACE 1 Janet
ACE 2 Mom and dad
ACE 3 Els
ACE 4 Ellen

I think this way it's quite obvious that Janet is the first on to be contacted, than the parents, my sister and sister in law.
 
I enter mine like:

A-ICE-Susan
A-ICE-Roger

That way they are always at the top of my contact list in my phone so they are more quickly available.
 
I think you are right, but the EMT's or whomever will probably search under the 'I'(as in ICE) for that's their uniform name to be searching for.
But hé, if your 'phone book' opens and A-ICE-Suzan is the first one they see, they will probably call your girl anyway.
Lets just hope no EMT will ever dial A-ICE-Suzan or ICE 1 Janet
