I like the Stihl MS-261C-MQ for a 20" saw in the tree. Anything bigger is clumsy and tires me out fast, and this saw handles well and is fairly light. The MQ model has the M-Tronic ignition, which I love. Put it in the START position (choked) and pull it twice. It always fires, and often starts up, on the second pull. Flip the switch to RUN and pull it a third time and it always starts on that pull. The Q in the model designation is the chain brake activation when you release the TRIGGER RELEASE lever on top of the rear handle. This stops the chain in less than half a second, and I really like this feature. I never notice it when using the saw, it does not add any inconvenience. But, if you let go of the handle for any reason, or drop the saw, the chain stops. It does not stop the engine. Bit of extra safety, especially when lugging it around in the canopy or on a spar, when things can get a bit awkward with anything bigger than a tophandle saw.
When the saw is new, the M-tronic saws can be a bitch to start the first couple times. They tend to flood easy when new. I found that it doesn't help to keep pulling on it. Just take out the spark plug, pull it a couple of times, and put it back in. It will start. I had to do this the first and second times I started the 261, and have never had to do it since.
I won't comment on any of the other 20" saws I have, because I don't take any of them up in the tree since getting the MS-261C-MQ saw. Hope this helps.
