How did all this start for you?

Im interested in hearing everyones story as to how they got into tree work or climbing....because no matter who you ask they all get hooked! And im sure everyones got a interesting story to tell as to how they first got into climbing!

3.5 years ago I was working at a motorcycle shop, in the winter it got really slow so the brother in law got me a job with the power company as a groundman, been climbing since 3 months after that and love it.

Started rock climbing in the early 90thies to try to get rid of a bad high anxiety. It worked. Started tree climbing in the mid 90thies with rock climbing gear, that didn´t work so great.

I Started doing tree work as if it was another job just to make another dollar little did i know i was working for the best company in the lbk. My youth pastor had got me the job there he was the foreman at the time, i started out as a ground guy for about the first hour and boom they gave me a saddle and said this is how you foot lock and ive been climbing ever since , its going on 5 years now made my way up to foreman/crew leader and working on my certification. I think climbing off a crane at the top off 100ft cottonwood on the fort in Ft. Davis was hands down on of my favorite climbs but we did some recovery work in the woodlands when hurricane Ike hit thats an experience i wont forget.
