Honey Bee Rescue

People keep saying that bees are becoming scarcer... this summer we came across at least three hives in trees that we were removing. Each time a bee keeper was called and they brought a truck for us to load the log onto with our bobcat. They cover it with a screen or tarp and haul it away. Then they cut it open and get the bees out. One bee keeper actually had a business where he takes bees all up and down the east coast for farmers to use them for pollination. It was very interesting to learn about the whole process.

That's just cool. I've toyed with the idea of keeping bees but I need a better place first. Was that Andrew on camera for the sugar feeder installation?
