homemade grcs

If I were to make a GRCS, or should I say a "JRCS"? I think I'm going to add some bling to mine.

how much money did you save not factoring in your time to make it. I guessing the most expensive part was obviously the harken. I tried welding once, it ended up looking like "art" :-)

Chopper,

That's a snazzy idea, the pigtail on the original grcs seems week. IIRC, someones groundie tried to take up slack pulling aggainst the side of the pigtail and it ripped off. I might rip ya off, and adapt that to mine.

feel free mate, use what eva you want, just as long as it makes your day easier, all is good!
Priority Tree Service, they own that set up!!!

That's excellent chopper, well designed, looks more compact that the grcs or hobbs, does the rope run/slide on the Harken ok? Like the way the metal guide prongs are sitting close to the Harken, means ;ess leverage/stress on them when rigging. How about a video please?

What about the anchor strap, its sitting very low? is it working out ok. I take it the top bit has a slide in bit at the back for support, you know cutting a kerf then the bit fits in?
