Holiday Beer

9% alc by vol? Gak! A little strong for my taste.

I go local with Wachusett and Sam's winter lager in my keg-er-ator! And only around 5.5-6% abv. Which allows me to drink a couple more without ill effects tomorrow!

i didnt say it was a session beer! just a nice after dinner and then i can switch to my mainstay. victory prima pils or the mountain of yuengling left over from my wedding.

Bells's Hopslam comes out in January thru Februrary every year around my birthday, not a national holiday but one for me

Kostritzer schwarzbier...in addition to just being plain tasty, you've got to love a brewery that's been in operation so long that the Goethe is their spokesmodel. Tough to find, but well worth the hunt.

Ummm... I'll take some of that Yuengling.

That's right, my pallete is utterly un-sophisticated... makes eating and drinking cheap!

Me too Chip! I never met a Yeungling I didn't drink. In cans, it's my favorite boat beer.

I was just busting cubes about the leftover Yuengling wedding beer. I personally like the stuff, just not when it's been chilled, warmed and then stored for six weeks!

Becks Oktoberfest is a nice brew too, and relatively easy to come by at this time of year.

actually its still tasting good. it was never refridgerated and my shop stays a steady 55-60 degrees.

I feel alot better knowing that all that beer didn't go to waste. There's nothing worse than wasted beer.

Not wasting beer is important action.
Coors Light (which is American as well) - I call it children's beer, or breakfast beer. Sorry I sound so mean to my American friends but I take my brew seriously!
I've had some super American beers but they are hard to find up here.
A very tasty winter beer from Alberta is Winter Spice from Big Rock Brewery. I don't know if it is exported, but well worth a taste.

actually unlimited Yuengling(on fridays after work) has become one of my companies benefits. along with free and classy haircuts of course.
