For those of you who use the Hitch Climber pulley, have you tried using a Petzl Swivel Stop on the rope bridge of your harness to prevent twisting? What size do you use the small or large swivel?

Right now, I have a sliding aluminum ring on my rope bridge, but want to try the Petzl Swivel. Is it just a matter of switching the aluminum ring for the Swivel?

Chris I have been using the hitch pulley for about a year and a half. I originally had a sliding dee saddle that worked great. Moved to the petzl sequioa and went to the small swivel. Absolutely horrible. It somehow twisted my ropes. Both of the ropes I used those first and only two days, the fly and the poison ivy. I am chosing to go to a ring on the bridge of the sequioa. I have keep the swivel on for a multiple tie-in point.

Yo chris, I've been using this setup with my treeflex and I am not a big fan. It's okay for the first twist or two, but then, when you body thrust a bit, then pull from underneith the pulley, the swivel spins how ever many twists occured in your line, which can get a little dangerous if you've body thrusted up more than a couple feet before tending your line.

With the twists in your line, the swivel makes you tending your line not as fast and effective. I actually prefer not using the swivel at times.
