History, Politics and Globalization Refresher

I'm glad we agree MS!

At first I thought you were being subtle, and were referring to CBS!

I watched about 1/5th of that video and it was interesting, but long, so I stopped.

but it brought up a recent topic.

My brother just got back from visiting Vietnam.

he was in the North for a while then noticed that they hadn't seen a single insect, wild animal or bird the whole time.

just rice fields, no jungle either. (found some jungle in the South and insects).

he didn't know why.

I told him that I learned at a conference that the same company the produced DDT in this country, still produces it and sends it to other countries, especially ones that claim they use it to kill mosquitos due to malaria.

I remember hearing that Vietnam is a huge user of DDT.

I also thought of the many shrimp in our supermarkets that are "farm raised in Vietnam" shrimp.

He said it was really weird, he even went to the sea shore and there was not a single seagull or pelican, nothing.

I mean, not a single living thing, just farm land and people, not a gnat, not a beetle, not a bee, no animals, no birds.

I believe India is the only country in the world that still manufactures and sells DDT. China quit making it in 07.

But who really knows for certain?

Though it's pretty certain that had it not been banned here in the US in 72, the bald eagle and many other avian raptors would have been toast.

People must realize that from a strictly objective viewpoint our govt is corrupt.

This is best illustrated by current events.

Unemployment is high. So what is our govt doing about it? Trying to pass new legislation that gives illegal immigrants, some 15 million of them, legal status for breaking the law? How does that help law abiding citizens that are unemployed get a job?

Unemployment is high. So what does our president do about it? He quietly pushes for passage of yet another poisonous FTA in the form of the TransPacificPartnership. Again pushing for something that will make a bad situation for his actual constituents even worse!

Congress has an 85 percent disapproval rating. To me it's absolutely amazing that it's not a 99 percent disapproval rating! Because all the objective evidence is that the whole dang govt is out to destroy this once great country.

Bags of cash for Afghanistan, and bags of excrement for law abiding US citizens in despair.

What's up with our govt folks?

If you take a string and strech it from China to NE US it goes through Prince Rupert BC where it makes landfall on North America.

They will build a bigger port in Rupert and upgrade roads and rail along this route. Starting next year the Chinese are building a mall bigger than the Mall of America to showcase their manufactured goods. My understanding is the big chain store buyers will go to the mall instead of going to China to order 5000 dohinkus'. It'll be unique in the world as far I could determine with a web search. Should be a good food court is what I'm hoping for because they're building it centrally on the continent just south of Saskatoon Saskatchewan. All of a sudden there we were chillin' on the prairies and then we became a huge inland port distributing in every direction. Spooky.

It's been a very long almost surrealistic journey from my teenage years in the 70's reading Taylor Caldwell's historic novels that hinted at the existence of an international cabal of industrialist called the Trilateral Commission, then the 80's with the Bilderberg Group, followed by the 90's and Bush Senior giving his New World Order speech to congress on Capitol Hill and the beginnings of the globalization push by our own elected leaders.

But it wasn't really until a few years into the 21st century when the vast majority of my countrymen, literally a couple hundred million of them bought the Bush Cheney version of the events on Sept 11th 2001, which essentially turned the laws of physics into a bad joke, where asymmetrical damage to three steel framed framed skyscrapers can magically cause them to fall into symmetrical piles of rubble for the first time in history, that I became absolutely convinced that our government, and leaders of both political parties, were corrupt, as well as our news outlets, who still push the Bush Cheney version of events to this very day, proving that we're the most gullible nation in the world.

But what bugs me the most somehow, is that every physics teacher at every college in this nation worth his or her's salt knows for a fact that it's impossible for asymmetric damage to any steel framed building on this planet can cause it to fall into a symmetric pile, They know it, every physics teacher in the world knows it, every professional architect knows it, yet only a few thousand of them have the integrity and fortitude to speak out about the con job being perpetrated by our govt on the whole world.

Taylor Caldwell was right, and my teenage nightmares have become a 21st century reality.

These psychotic ego driven multinational industrialists think they can pull the wool over the whole world's eyes, and write their own version of history, and get away with it.

So much for truth honor and integrity folks, that's now just a 21st century pipe dream.

America the beautiful has given way to America the corrupt.

I'm sick of this liberal versus conservative song and dance routine keeping our country paralyzed as we slide into this abyss of no return. Whether it's the Clintons, Bushes or Obamas in power makes only superficial cosmetic differences. They'll all lead us to the same hell in due time folks.

Oh we aren't there yet?

Genetically engineered garbage food often laden with bacteria, filthy air i can taste (and thats in the suburbs), undrinkable water on tap and in the ground, constant suspiciousness of/by fellow countrymen, a society based on strangers (where once communities required familiarity with each other to ensure success), a judicial system that will prosecute the belief in a spiritual system that can solve problems better than the systems which produce revenue, all the while bound from escape by a system of economics which requires that not all can escape.

America hasn't been beautiful since spilling blood directly or indirectly without respect to the life it gave has become what defines us.

Sure puts a chill down my spine when I think of the complex operations these guys are capable of pulling off.

But there again I always suspected WTC Bldg 7 had to come down because it was where the master console was that controlled the demolitions sequences in towers 1&2. Perfect location for line of sight confirmation that the signal repeaters were doing their job.

Has to be the most audacious black ops job in history.

Gonna be an interesting next few years guys.

Great link Evo.

Well, I've been working on that problem, and have a few ideas.

But good things take lots of time, planning and a little luck as well.

The world has a mighty thick hide. Takes a mighty long and sharp needle to pierce it to its core.

I often think an egotistical mad lunatic designed it this way on purpose.

It's glaringly obvious mankind is suicidally flawed and corrupt in nature.

The key to our survival in the long term may be in physically changing our flawed human nature in a very fundamental sense.

Would a world where truth reigns supreme be appealing and good?

Would a world where lies told either past or present being known at once be wonderful or tyrannical?

Could we as a people actually handle the truth being self evident?

Does it take a lunatic to clean up after one?

I personally think politicians of every era would dread the truth being known like the plague!

But their subjects? Perhaps not?

if you take a close look at most of our politicians they are not the best of people . i always wonder why that is . is it because a regular good person shys away from the public spotlight and everything that comes with it or is a good guy not corrupt enough to get in ??

Just to be clear, it goes both ways guys. The feds appear to have a similar interest in cracking down on the Tea Party folks too. Appears dissent of ANY type is increasingly disapproved of. We live in momentous times; times where I'm witnessing things before my eyes that I previously would've read in a history book and thought, "How could those people have been so stupid"?

We must begin again to elect officials who understand that under our Constitution the federal government is to be limited, constrained- subordinate.

IRS Targets Tea Party

Few if any politicians ever leave office poorer than when they first sought office.

The idea of actually serving your country for modest pay only applies to soldiers.

It's a clue!

Been a while since I posted in this forum. But rest assured that I stay up to date on the globalization problem busily eroding our national sovereignty on a daily basis folks.

I'm one of those political geeks who gets up at 4:00 am to listen to 3 hours of CSPAN.

Any of you too busy to stay up to date to such an extreme degree, but are nonetheless concerned about these dire issues?

Please take 10 minutes of your valuable time to get up to speed and watch/listen to this wonderfully educated patriotic American woman explaining globalization's nefarious beginnings.

As the drums of war call out again
Beckoning the young back to Vietnam

Once again that sense of déjà vu
Of childhood lost to death's rendezvous

The changing of sunlight to moonlight
Reflections of my life
Oh how they fill my eyes

The greetings of people in trouble
Reflections of my life
Oh how they fill my eyes

Oh my sorrows
Sad tomorrows
Take me back to my own home

Oh my crying (Oh my crying)
Feel I'm dying, dying
Take me back
To my own home

I'm changing, arranging,
I'm changing,
I'm changing everything
Everything around me

The world is
A bad place
A bad place
A terrible place to live
Oh but I don't wanna die ...

My own ancestors fought and died on the losing side of our Civil War.

Bugles are calling from prairie to shore, Sign up and fall in and march off to war; Drums beating loudly, hearts beating proudly March blue and gray and smile as you go.

Smoke hides the valleys and fire paints the plains, Loud roar the cannons till ruin remains; Blue grass and cotton burnt and forgotten All hope seems gone so, soldier, march on to die.

Count all the crosses and count all the tears, These are the losses and sad souvenirs; This devastation once was a nation So fall the dice, how high is the price.

There in the distance a flag I can see, Scorched and in ribbons but whose can it be; How ends the story, whose is the glory, Ask if we dare our comrades out there who sleep.

Count all the crosses and count all the tears, These are the losses and sad souvenirs; This devastation once was a nation So fall the dice, how high is the price we pay.
