We are a small company with currently two employees. We are based in Fayetteville Arkansas. We run a laid back quality and safety based company.
I am looking for either a second climber/ Certified Arborist to take some of the load off myself as the main climber and transition into crew leader position. Or a motivated trainee to train into a badass Arborist/climber.
To me the ideal candidate is someone looking for more than just a paycheck. A passion for proper tree care and teamwork. My philosophy is to do the best possible work with the proper equipment to be easy and efficient as possible.
I think you SHOULD have a life outside of work. If your the kind of person who likes to work 50-60 hrs a week 6 days a week we probably aren't the best fit. We work Monday through Friday weather permitting etc. and only in severe storms or emergencies do we ever work on weekends. (that's only been 4 days in the 5 years we've been in business)
I try to treat anyone who works with us extremely well. I guarantee hours year round to full time employees and benefits. (Paid vacation, yearly gear allowance, paid climbing competition trips, training, referral profit sharing, bonuses company phone and vehicle, help with moving expenses etc) Anyone who sticks with us long term will be rewarded well. Loyalty is valuable to me I will be loyal to you if you are.
Brains are important I'm a firm believer in working smarter not harder. This business is hard enough as it is. We have nice equipment mini skid, large and small chippers, bucket truck (with current certifications),wood trucks, stump grinders and more rigging than a man should logically have (2 GRCS etc)! I'm a gear nerd! I'm not going to ask anything of you that I'm not willing to do myself. I do expect proactive thinking to make the job go as smooth as possible without having to be told. Learning is one thing and is encouraged but being lazy is not tolerated.
Fayetteville is a smaller city with very low crime and low cost of living. Its been rated in the top 10 best places to live in the US. I've lived here most of my life.
Ive worked with Noel Boyer and for a time Cormac Nagan they are really where I learned alot of my style in addition to climbing comps etc.
Pay is based on ability and what you bring to the company and time with us. We are a legit company and cover employees with one million workers comp coverage that is for tree work.
For arborist trainee range of pay is from $10 hr no experience at all to $21+ hr for a skilled qualifed arborist.
The real limit is what you can do and how the company grows. The more you invest and help us grow the more you will be rewarded.
I am a ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Climber Specialist, and TCIA CTSP. Ive competed in several climbing competitions (won hawaii comp 2011 and 2012) and teched at Internationals.
