'High Climbers and Timber Fallers'

Re: \'High Climbers and Timber Fallers\'

Jerry's book really is one of a kind. I received one of the first 50 copies that Bailey's offered last year and I'm sure I'll read it again this year.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone in the Arboriculture industry wrote a full color/black&white coffee table book about the history of the daily rigors of tree work? I bet someone like Don Blair would be great.

Hey Jer, maybe we can get you to write a book about your career in the utility line clearence and tree trimming business?

I loved your ROW Line Clearing story in your DVD, and I'm sure others would love to read more of those stories as well as hear about the daily tree and rigging work, and get a chance to see more of your great photos!

And thank you, Chris!

I often forget how many of those "Tree Story" CD's are in circulation. The days of right of way clearing and line clearance trimming parralled the woods experiences and all the rec climbing we did,,, all in the same time period. So many different stories of trees.

My line clearance days were as much a part of my life back then as the woods work was, though maybe not at glamerous, but still very important to myself and so many others.

Thank you for the reminder of where I come from, Chris.

Always, Jerry B

Headed off to Ukiah this morning to the Redwood Region Logging Conference, Butch. Looking forward to a great show. Catch you on the rebound!

MB, I bet that everyone who bought one of Jerry's High Climbers book would also want to get one about his line clearence and other tree jobs that he did while working for the tree service industry.

It wouldn't have to be a big coffee table book, but just imagine the great stories and awesome rigging pictures that would be in it!

Maybe we should take a poll? What do you think?

Chris

P.S. Ilove your portal site at the Treehouse, Pretty cool!
