Hickory Pouch Gall

I just had a request to treat Hickory Pouch Gall. I ran into this problem 20 yrs ago, I'm a old timer. We tried oil back then and there is no control listed now for it. Anyone
out there in tree land with suggestions.

Last year was a big year for oak gall in our area and this might be related to that out break.
 
By Hickory Pouch Gall I assume you mean galls caused by Phylloxera sp.(plant lice). Dormant or superior oil still seems to be the method for control..
