Here it is! -- New Master IV w/ Floating D

I tried a saddle with a sliding D ring. Hated it. Slid without warning, kinda spooked me. But last straw was when my chest hairs got caught in the D ring while repelling. Ouch.

The slideing is the good part, that's why it's called a sliding dee. I don't understand the "without warning" part.
But you do have to watch the pinching. It's caught my shirt a few times, no biggie.

I like my buckingham versitle lots hook ups and use the bridge for sliding around and good back support.my buddy loves his weaver says their the best saddle made!

I've been a Weaver 3 dee man for a long time. I like it's simplicity. I had a Traverse, but didn't like it.

I cant say Ive tried it but, look where the bridge attaches.
On the upper part of the harness, to me it would be like hanging from your belt loops. It cant be comfortable in the hang, but you are right to each his own.

i'm figuring on getting some type of saddle that has some percentage of the pull placed at waist. At first it seems odd, but am hoping the right amount/adjustmeant would pull back pad in snugger, bring some support closer to my center of gravity for less leverage on back etc.

MB, what I meant by without warning, while turning in the saddle and reaching the ring would slide. When your not expecting it. Yes you could jerk the thing every time you turn to set it. The heck with the learning curve. Give me a old fashion butt pincher.

Phil, I've met only few people that have tried the sliding-dees/bridge that don't like it. The one's who DON'T usually are the one's who only tried it once and didn't love it the first time.

The one's who DO love it are both those who loved it the first time, AND those who didn't like it the first time, but gave it a good honest trial.

love
