Helping out Your Neighbor’s with Their Trees

Neighbors that are next to me and that can see my house get small easy stuff free. Alot of work a reduced price. Easy job for a next door neighbor with a polesaw, no brainer, definatly free.

Pie and icecream are the only solid foods you really need. I've often accepted pie/icecream as payment from elderly widows. That is to say, they baked me pies in return for my helping them become widows. But, that's way off topic. Sorry.

We've had homemade jam and homemade wine and even port once. Hic - these were very good payment methods.

People of good character can sometimes be quite offended when you try to completely refuse payment. In such cases I try to accept as little as possible to make them feel like it isn't complete charity. One sweet lady who is an amazing baker pays us 100% in baked goods. Usually something sweet. It's just a couple small 20 minute jobs a year but we really look forward to going there! We stop by the next day to pick up our delicious "sticky buns" and everyone is happy.
