How many people put additional stickers/decals on their helmets?

How many people realize that most helmet manufacturers warn against it on the sticker inside the helmet (the irony)?

It has been reported that putting additional stickers may decerease the helmets dialectric capactiy.

I do not have a specific answer from the helmet manufacturers...yet.

I'll report back when/if I find something.

My opinion is that if someone is that close to a primary they much bigger things to worry about than if the sticker on their helmet is conductive or not. It does remind of time when I was about 18 when I got the primary stuck between my ear muff and my helmet. I am a pretty tall guy and I was sneaking between the nuetral wire and primary. I can only get so far down inside a bucke.I like the weedless rockclimbing style helmet much more. It's good thing that I was working from a bucket.

That would fall into the calss of situation with a high "pucker factor"

I've followed this discussion on rec.climbing, http://groups.google.com/groups?oi=djq&as_ugroup=rec.climbing
From what I've gathered, the main reason the manufacturers post that they don't advise stickers is because of some remote possibility that the adhesive "may" degrade the plastic. I've read posts by seemingly knowledgeable people who work with plastics state that the adhesive wouldn't have any effect. The reason is probably based more in the litiguous society that exists here in the US.

As a foot note, Pacific Helmets, http://pacifichelmets.com/
states that their Kevlar helmets are not effected by the adhesives on the decals.
