Petzl vertec here heavy dreadlock and it work... dont take black....at the sun it get very hot

The only guy I know that has that problem just took all the foam out of his Kask and his hair provided almost the same amount of padding, so it looked perfectly normal when he wore it. Of course, I doubt if his hair provided the same protection as the foam, and I doubt if anyone has bothered to figure that out.

Tell him to make like a real man and get a haircut!

Here in Australia the insects from the trees would eat him with that on his head. He'd probably find spiders in his hair at night.

I just use a Kask most of the time. My Edelrid works fine too. Just a lil tighter... I just pull mine back in a low ponytail.

Update. I now have a Protos. Never looking back.
