What style hoist is under that? Scissor? Twin ram, telescopic ram? Here's my 16' Kaufman today. It has two 8 thousand lbs axles. It handled this Silver Maple stump and some of the wood no problem. It won't dump though, if the weight is too far forward.

That’s what I figured. I prefer those because they’re fast, but nothing lifts serious weight like the twin rams. A friend of mine has a 12k Belmont with twin rams that has dumped more than 14k of soil without a problem. The only time it wouldn’t dump was the time my (much) younger self loaded 20k in it... Oops.Scissor
If a dump trailer is rated for a particular weight, then it ought to be able to dump it. It's probably the most disappointing aspect of the trailer for me.That’s what I figured. Yes, for sure, it should be able to dump at least it’s rated capacity plus a little in my opinion. Some can do far more than that, which is nice, but not really necessary. If a dump trailer is rated for a particular weight, then it ought to be able to dump it.
