Have not gotten paid

Start taking over the clients that you did tree work. Make up a contract for climbing something that the employer has to sign. That too show up to his shop, be polite and remind him of non-payment.

Yo whiz, dude you seem like a real sharp cat. One does not need to mess with that dudes clients. You go out there and strum up some of your own clients even if you are contract climbing. It's always good to have a roll of your own clients. No one here on the island gives me any work ( guess they think I don't need any ), I go out and talk to people always ready to let them know what business I am in and I use sharp business cards, plus I got lots of sales pitch . My work also sets me apart from my competition thus more comes by word of mouth. My work here is not always exciting but I make good money as I keep my overheads low, so I get some big profit margins on jobs. I have never been in the business of letting people make money of my skills, it just makes things easier for myself. I like running my own ship.

Whiz, we need to lighten this up a bit, we know you got screwed but the rest of the guys will take care of you. Just stop by next time you pass through and I'll buy you that "bag of groceries" and as you well know, there's moose and caribou meat with your name on it in the freezer as well a nice bed to lay your head down on. I'll also fill that bowl of yours if you have your spoon! Heck, I might even have a backyard tree job and you know from experience my money is good.

You guys have all been great. We live in different states so bagging clients isn't an option and never was my way. Showing up isn't an option either not to mention he has a rescue pit bull that's already bitten me twice. I love pit bulls but this one bites and intimidates everyone. My clients are sometimes companies that need a morale boost or a shot in the arm and it's been my lifestyle for years. It may not be really lucrative for me but man I get to work, share and break bread with world class people all the time and I'm rich beyond words for it. I've been struggling with it recently though because of all the time away from my family and not having a full time gig with retirement ect. but guess what! I got a full time job here in Springfield! They're SUPER nice folks that I've known in passing for a few years. The wife, a c.a. took over the tree crews and is actively in the field so I have the honor of working with a woman again. Those of you who know me personally (Swingdude prolly gets me too) know how much this means to me. So once again I've landed on my feet with the love and support of those around me and this lets me continue to give back. They're flexible with my travel schedule too so see you at OHTCC, ILTCC, INTCC, MWTCC, ITCC, EHAP, AR class, Climbnfish's house for moose and I'll even get to whip by and see my man RUKE DUNREVY at Treestuff. The Ruke, The Ruke, The Ruke is on FYUUUH! Maybe I need sleep. Thanks you guys.

Whiz so glad to hear all is on the ups dude. Knew a dude like you would get blazing again, big KUDOS there. Dudes with good characters never have problems getting work, the demand is so great.

After knockin' down a BUNCH of hours at my new gig, I have today off. You'll notice I'm not posting at 1pm any longer. It's a good thing and I'm really happy. If I can just get the top handle on this 200t replaced...

I have another 200t and I'm trying to swap them out. You guys would be cracking up at me right now. Parts and gear all over the place and me in overwhelm as stuff shoots across the room. Oh well, I prolly didn't need that spring anyway. Kidding. It's not so bad. It's just slow going because I have to be so methodical about it. I've been a point and squirt guy for so long that I can do little more than advanced maintenance on a saw. Thanks MisterSir, Kevin's got the part and I can buy him lunch or something. Hey I sent my man a self addressed stamped envelope last week and I know he recieved it. I'm going to state the facts in Jobfinder if anyone wants to know who it is. I totally landed on my feet and remain grateful to you all and maybe I'll let it go after I post a response to their add.
