Hello everyone, quick question about sizing.

do they go by your pants size or actual inches of waist, I'm an 33-34 pants size but an 40" waist. This questions probably been asked 100 times but any info would be appreciated
 
Just recieved this with the Weaver Cougar, wish it was posted somewhere prior to purchase (maybe it is somewhere) as i recieved the Medium as a gift but it's a tight fit. If i knew of this i would have went Large to place the side D's a little more forward for added comfort on the hipbones, but it's just my excuse to add another/extra saddle to my kit!

Not sure if the measurement applies to just Weavers/Cougars, as other basic Weavers are shown in the manual also, or it applies to most saddles... Someone more knowledgeable would chime in i suppose...

I'm assuming you say 33-34 is your inseam.. I'm 38"-40" waist but according to the above i posted, a 40"-44" (L) would be a better fit in a Cougar. I have noticed the more expensive saddles (MCRS, TM, Petzl...etc) run a wider range of fit.

Example MCRS
Size 1 : 30"-40"
Size 2 : 36"-46" <----perfect for me

Im with you. 38-40Wx34L so like an ass i assumed i'd go with Medium 36"-40"...

Wrong. I believe i spoke to Mr Bonner at TreeStuff awhile back and he suggested the correct size (L), but like an idiot i believe i deleted the email.
