HAAS Knee Ascender WTF!?

I love my saka’s. Richard is such a great guy and an incredible innovator. I am patiently waiting for his second gen foot ascender to test for him. I like gen 1. I understand he is currently working to bring the HHX back onto the market first.

Ditto. After playing around with foot loops and home made jobbies years ago bought two original SAKAs and they’ve been my go to’s ever since. Richard did a great job and a great service to the arb field with these. And the foot loops fit chainsaw boots including my Pfanner moon boots. Hope he keeps at it. Could he entertain a new space age carbon spur design like the KK’s? Hmmm

Another vote for the SAKA, love mine.

I was watching Reg's latest video and saw he was using a hand ascender on a foot loop. I've never actually actually used that method myself (even though the technique has been around for ages), but I'm going to spend some time playing with in the near future just to compare.

Hand ascender/footloop to haas is the normal progression. Footloop is bulky to store and requires concentration to synchronize during climbing as you raise the ascender/tension the loop. Been there. That's why the compact, neat haas was such a breakthrough. Made my day first time I used it.

Forgive me if I use haas like skidoo or kleenex. Habit.
