I am guessing he is talking about out of bounds back country riding. Visiting my brother in Utah we went boarding Sunday and hoping to get at least one more day in while I am here.

Off-piste means 'not on a designated trail' in ski-French.

I know this from cracking a few ribs in an 'off-piste' snowboarding accident.

Heck, I get "piste off" quick, when the snow is so bad that I have to ski "on piste"

Hard skier's left, kinda past the rope line,

Ruby Bowl, Spanky's Ladder, above the Blackcomb Glacier, Blackcomb Mt. 1400 feet down a 5 mile, 3500 vert. run....the first 2600 is steeeeeeeeep....just how we like it!!

lousy ski year here, warm, no snow lately, and my knee has me laid up..
