Whats up guys? Im looking for some insight on Gravely chippers. Has anyone ever used them? Im looking at a model 310 (i think) thats for sale localy. Its a 98 with a one year old motor, brand new tires, blades and a new axel. The guy is asking 3Gs.

One of my concerns is getting parts since they dont make these anymore. Valid? I also saw that some of them have had rad problems... maybe thats why this guy had to change the motor, maybe not. Anyway, any help is appreciated.

Over heating was an issue with the one I used. Besides that it was a very good chipped. I used a 395 ProChip. It was a 9in with a 44hp Yanmar diesel. If I came across one for 3k I would buy it in a second. You can still get parts for all Gravely chippers from MB Co. Anyway, most of the parts are generic and easy to find locally. Knives will be expensive to buy. Besides that, parts are no problem.

Dosko is pretty much manufacturing the same chipper so parts are not so hard to find. I use the hell out of my 1994 Promark 310 which is also essentially the same chipper. I get new knives from dosko.
