Got me some toys! ( I mean tools )

Re: Got me some toys!

We opened up an area so we could bring the chipper in and blow the chips back into the woods.

I am almost in the market for a mini, that was a good buy, Jim. Did you get the grapple with it?

NICE TOYS!!! CONGRATS!!!

FWIW ... if you haven't already, I can recommend making some chains for the back wheels ... easy to make ... $$$ to buy. Skid-steer's are terrible on ice!!!

Re: Got me some toys!

I don't think I'll use the snowblower on the Thomas, unless it's my only option. The Gehl's articulated and works excellent for blowing snow. I found that attachment on Craigslist in Boston, $1400, new they sell for about $3600. Kicks a$$ over the ol' snow bucket that's fer sure.

We have the cold just no snow here. Hope it stays that way. It was in the low 20s today with a wind chill of 4. Just not use to it so early, this is more like January and february. Heat wasn't working in the new crane today, I think the diesel may have gelled for the heater.

I'm surprised we don't see more guys using snowblower attachments. Took me all of about 15 minutes to open up for that job. Snow bucket would've probably taken 'bout an hour and half.

Re: Got me some toys!

Were going to test out a set of these on our R300 to see how well it will go through all the snow

So far how do you feel about the Gehl? Is it the 140? Which unit do you think you will use more? The reason I ask is that we are in the market for a second mini or Gehl. Thanks Jim.

I almost bought a new 140 Mark, just didn't want a loan right now. I have the AL 20, I think the 140 is an awesome loader... just more than I want to pay right now.

Oh, the Gehl is still by far the better loader for me but they both have their advantages.
