Go Pro editing soft ware for PC.

I just bought a Go Pro hero 2 and was wondering what you all recommend for editing software. The guy at the store mentioned buying something for around $20. For a year subscription. I’m totally new at this so any tips are greatly appreciated.

When I had mine I just used the windows movie maker and the only thing it didn't do that I wanted was picture in picture. Very easy to use and didn't cost me anything so if you have it, it is a start to get the feel for editing.
