GL insurance 2025

Burlington Insurance Co out of CT, no claims and has increased by few hundred each yr. Acadia for inland marine which has increased even more. 15xp and sk800 are $4k/yr and bet they'd be complete shitheads if I ever made a claim.

Recently financed a new Kioti tractor inhouse (DLL financing) and the insurance is built into the payment at $1,500. Chose the 7yr no money down at 3%. Planning to see if they'll insure the Bandit and DW when renewal comes up.

I’m trying to startup, been working for others for years but after the move I want to give my own thing a go.
No employees or equipment
I thought that figure sounded wrong. I’m not sure how we arrived there

I've had Westfield and Huntington in the past...

When I started (a while ago) I called several agents in town before finding somebody who could even offer coverage that included pesticide application. I guess that's just to say, keep shopping.

That’s more than I pay for GL and E&O combined with two employees.
As a owner operator with no employees I’d think you should see numbers less than half that price

Agreed...that's just a little less than I pay total including: GL, E&O, property/equipment, 2 trucks, 2 trailers, basically 1 FTE employee.

Oh yeah I forgot inland marine. So for a straight GL policy sumtin is amiss at that 7,600 rate. My commercial auto is through a different carrier.

Thanks for the replies, that got me some more leads and confirmed my assumption on what is a reasonable price point. kind of waiting for Tuesday at this point, I’m betting most folks have the long weekend.

I think my GL/ Inland Marine is about 4% of gross revenue.

My commercial auto for 4 vehicles is probably a similar percentage, by chance, not affected by revenue.

My base price is around 2k and they add to it after an annual audit on payroll and/ or revenue.
