getting a hotel

At what point do you guys say "this job is worth it to go and get a hotel room or two?" I looked at a job a couple years ago and turned it down because it would have meant getting 2 hotel rooms for at least 2 nights due to travel time. I just got asked to look at another job in the same general area and am thinking that maybe this time it might be worth it.

Hotels generally cost more. But yes, it can be very profitable to travel out of town occasionally for those high paying jobs.
In my old age I don't care for it, but if you can dig it you can make some good money, usually. I did, awhile back.
Bid it high and go for it.

I agree with MB. Figure out what it will take to get you to be inconvenienced to this extent and then bid the job accordingly. You are in a good position to get what you need when you really don't mind losing the bid.

Here's the rig a local guy bought to chase storms with. The horse trailer has been converted to sleep six.

Yes, it's called "Mr. Green Jeans."

Strange name, eh? When I first went to work for him I asked him if his foreman's name was Captain Kangaroo.

MB. there are horse trailers with living quarters. like holds two or three ponies and has a camper portion up front. lotsa bucks to buy though. guess you could convert the horsie part to hold saws and chips pretty easy though. :)
