Have been using this as a re-direct. the da-- thing is hard to thread around my doubled climbing line. I am considering eliminating the center gold colored metal piece.
Any one else do this? is it safe? is there a better way to set up my redirect?

My friend Scotty removed the center(becket?) and replaced with a machined washer ...he thinks its great.I can asure you though that any warranty is void!!
